Rakhee is a yoga teacher and writer. Her classes combine her love of dynamic, breath-led yoga with restorative calm in creative sequences that are both grounding and fun, clear and thoughtful. She combine vinyasa and restorative yoga, qigong and meditation practices and draw inspiration from nature, culture, philosophy, myth and the world around us. As a Londoner, Yoga helps her to find calm amongst the hectic buzz of city life. She believes that yoga is for anybody and everybody and she is equally committed to teaching those using mindful movement as a way to express their creativity, to those experiencing stress in sedentary, pressurised jobs and teenagers experiencing change. She discovered yoga and meditation over 25 years ago as a university student and has been practicing both ever since. After university she co-founded an arts and education charity which she ran for over two decades, leaving to focus on teaching and writing about Yoga. Having worked in the creative sector and with young people, she understands the importance of offering clear, precise and mindful classes. She trained as a yoga teacher at Yoga on the Lane with Naomi Annand and Adam Hocke. Rakhee also incorporates elements of Qigong in my yoga classes having trained with Mimi Kuo-Deemer. As a writer, Rakhee contributes to a range of creative publications as well as writing and creating content for the UK’s leading online yoga website, Movement for Modern Life.
