THE POWER OF BREATH - A FOUR PART WORKSHOP EXPLORING THE BREATH’S CONNECTION TO THE MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT
Students will have the opportunity to better understand the importance of the breath for a healthy body and mind. The classes will be structured around both theoretical learning, exercises and practical use.
Students will learn and practise Kapalabhati (Kriya - a cleansing method) as well as connecting the breath to movements and introduced to subtle concepts such as Prana, Nadis and Chakras.
The class will not contain any strenuous asanas but will be focused around gentle movements to build awareness and release tightness and blockages; physically, mentally and spiritually. Suitable for complete beginners and for those with some experience.
Students should not have eaten 2 hrs before the class and had not drank liquid 30min before.
Not suitable for individuals with high or low blood pressure, heart disease, hernia, gastric ulcer, epilepsy, vertigo or migraine headaches.
Not suitable for pregnant women or those who have recently undergone any surgery to the abdominal area or have other abdominal issues hindering or limiting movements of the belly.
